TEMPELHOF

This specific route is roughly 5-6km but it’s very easy to adjust the distance. It follows the old runway at Tempelhof, so you can add loops or shorten the run depending on where you’re staying. The entire route is completely flat, making it ideal for an easy runs, interval or tempo runs. During the winter months it’s especially calm and throughout the day it’s popular with runners, cyclists and walkers.

  • The route isn’t very well lit, so it’s not recommended for night-time running
  • It’s generally quiet and not overly busy
  • There are usually other runners around, both male and female

Isar park to englischer garten

This route is around 10km but you can easily do more or less depending on how far you choose to run through the Englischer Garten. It also works well for shorter or longer distances. The path is flat along the entire route, the parks are calm and it’s commonly used by runners, cyclists and walkers throughout the day.

  • The route is well lit along the river, however there is no lighting in the park itself, so it’s best to avoid this route after dusk
  • The route is calm and not very busy
